Jesus Crost/Mihoen! Eastern Europe tour 2007

Sa 28-04 Koma F, Berlin (DE)

After a 10 hour drive with our van we arrived at Kopi.
Yes, It's good to be back in Berlin again.
Like our last tour we played in Koma F.
2 other bands where added on the bill:
Disconvenience from Sweden played show number 25 of their tour.
They play great Punk rock and it rocked.
Bundernecromunda from Poland played the first show of their 6 day Poland tour.
Grind as fuck, cool stuff.
We played also pretty ok, but have in mind that we have to be in Warsaw early the next day.
Like everywhere in Germany shows start late.
First band started at midnight, so 3 hours of sleep and than heading to Warsaw .
It was a great night to start the tour with, although we had to leave at 5 in the morning to be on time in Warsaw.

Su 29-04 Aurora, Warsaw (PL)

Like we said, we left early from Berlin to be in Warsaw on time.
No difficulties at the Polish border, he he.
It was the last show of the band April, famous in Poland.
Regress and Oreiro also played.
Robert Refuse did a great job with organizing the festival.
Complete with distro's and nice veggie food.
The Aurora club was really packed, 250 minimum I think.
When you are inside you could get out and when you are outside there was no chance getting in.
We played first, as fast as always, but maybe to early on the evening.
Mihoen! made the ground shake from Warsaw to Tokyo .
Awesome concert, complete with crowd surfing and circle pits. All the other Polish bands I saw, pretty ok.
Maybe it's not really my cup of tea because my Polish is not that good.
The conclusion of tonight: Awesome evening with an amazing crowd!
Also check You-tube to see some videos of this show.

Mo 30-4 Bella Capri, Lodz (PL)

It was a hell of a job to find this place, but when we arrived it was great.
2 Italian bands on the bill (who love soccer).
Dissonanza and Judith the First.
Cool bands and very nice people.
Both bands played Emo-core and we liked it.
Mihoen! played before us. The sound was amazing.
We played third and it was a real killer. Maybe the best show of the tour.
No single mistake, great sound and every stop and go we played was like vacuum.
It was the night when Artilleria saw the daylight, Drie-beat in your face.
Some people did show up although it was Monday and we are really satisfied about this night and hope to see the Italian guys again when we are on tour in Italy next year.

Tue 01-05 Club Imbir, Krakow (PL) Nice to play in Krakow in the middle of the centre.
Tripis played (the band from organizer Kali who became father this day).
I did not see much of it, because we want to see something of Krakow itself.
And yes we did. We searched for a pub to see the Champions League semi-final between Chelsea and Liverpool.
Finally we found it and after the concert of all the bands ended we went back to another pub to see the rest of the match.
It's going in! Check 'm out!
Liverpool won the match, but forget it..
Argetti from Italy is a great band. Propagandhi style pop punk.
I liked it that much that I bought a T-shirt.
After all a very nice evening and also nice to escape the tour once in a while and see some football.

Wed 02-05 Club Luc, Trencin (SK)

Yes, our first show in Slovakia.
Mihoen! played before in this club during their tour with Cockroach 7 years ago.
The place was an old cinema in a historic village.
Mihoen! played first, again a cool show.
We played second, no other bands were added this night.
The crowd liked it, although not many people did show up it was amazing.
After the show we slept at a building without empty rooms with tons of white dusk.
This is the place where I lost my voice, that's for sure.
After some homemade drinks and vodka we went to bed to leave early to Vienna.

Thu 03-05 EKH, Vienna (AUT)

First show in Austria ever.
The EKH is a legendary squat in Vienna where many bands have played.
Dropdead, Yacopsae, Y, Sick Terror and tons more.
The squat is huge, very huge.
There was a competition on the website of EKH about how many songs both bands will play tonight.
Someone won the price, 33 songs was the amount of songs.
No idea what the price was.
Again no other bands added tonight, so Artilleria also lighted up the evening with 3 beat in your face.
It was the first time Peppy from Mihoen! joined as bass player for Artilleria.
Since this show Peppy is an official member of The Artilleria Crew.
So, when they play in your hometown check 'm out..
Next morning a great breakfast was waiting for us. A killer breakfast, I'm a big fan of Humus..
The EKH people did a great job and I hope we will be playing there again.

Fri 04-05 Dirty Dog Pub, Pecel Budapest (HU)

The worst day of the tour for sure.
I don't want to talk about it anymore.
6 Local bands playing way too long so finally Mihoen! could only play 10 minutes and
Jesus Crost didn't play at all. Also the police was standing in front of the venue.
The organizer of tonight show did a shitty job, so no business with Dr.Slayer anymore.

Sa 05-05 Club Skandal, Ziar Nad Hronom (SK)

After a bad day in Hungary we expect something different from this show.
It was the day Rado would show up. A real nice guy with a great heart.
A total of 5 bands.
E330 opened the night with Crustcore in the vein of Excrement of War, but not that good.
We played second. I lost my voice somewhere in Slovakia before and was screaming like a bird on the stage.
We got the whole concert on Video, as it can be seen on you-tube in a couple of months..
(I'm not that fast and technical with computers).
The show was really fast, maybe the fastest one we did during this tour.
Say Why? From CZ showed us how to play Fastcore.
Best band we saw on tour for sure.
They will play in Utrecht 20 Juli on their tour with Lycanthropy.
Mihoen! and Jesus Crost are also added on the bill in DB's Utrecht.
Gasmask Terror from France played after Saw Why?. Cool D-beat/crust with an amazing crowd.
And yes, I also got this on videotape.
Mihoen! Completed the evening, fast and with lot of energy.
This was the best musical evening for sure.
6 may was the day off in an hotel in Zvolen, nice to take a shower again.
The last show I took was in….Poland.

Mo 07-05 Castella, Bardejov (SK)

A trip through the mountains lead us to an old castle in the east of Slovakia 30 km near the Ukrainian border.
The castle was one of the best places to play.
Inside it there was a pub with table soccer and many people.
Upstairs a nice concert place.
More than 100 people did show up.
Mihoen! Played second after a technical Funk/Hardcore band.
Not the kind of music I like, but good musicians.
The Mihoen! Show was again great.
We also played very fast with a great sound.
Artilleria did a memorable concert with Peppy on bass again.
Time of My Life brought their old-school hardcore with a Minor Threat touch.
Energetic and with confidence.
The organizer of the show lived in a small village in the mountains.
We slept there and again a lot of hospitality from the Slovakian people.
A great night again on a great tour.

Tue 08-05 Garage, Bratislava (SK)

Probably the smallest place to play in a tour.
An old Garage was the location of the concert in Bratislava.
Tommy picked us up from the bus station after an 8 hour drive.
One local band was added, but can't remember their name.
After an hour it began to rain and we had to move our van closer to the garage so everybody was able to
See the bands playing without getting wet.
Our show was sloppy, there was not many space to play. Although we like the idea of turning a garage into a concert place very much,
it seems not our 'thing'anymore.
The garage was an ideal place for the Mihoen! Guys to expose.
Mihoen! Trashed the place with fastcore.
More photo's at www.mangelcrusties.sk
After the show we drove to an apartment. We did an interview there and went to bed and try to get some sleep to be fresh
for our show in Czech-Republic.

Wed 09-05 Club Vrah, Roznov (CZ)

Yeah, all the way to Czech-Republic.
We got the wrong direction. We drove to Brno, so that costs us 2 hours of our time.
Club Vrah seems to be legendary in CZ.
3 bands playing tonight.
Christ on Parade was the last band that played the evening.
Legendary punkband since 1982.
Their show was cool.
Mihoen! Was also doing a great job this night.
We played very energetic and without a single mistake.
After Lodz in Poland , probably one of the best shows during the tour.
Artilleria as a bonus, a big bonus.
The distro was also a big bonus. We bought many records, t-shirts and patches.

Thu 10-05 Club Wagon, Wroclaw (PL)

The van stopped and we had to make the decision to cancel tonight's show and find a garage somewhere.
Arno and Irmin got the van back driving again, so we tried to be on time in Wroclaw.
And we did.
The club was located in a railway station.
Everything was cool.
Jan Chrzciciel played Grindcore. Nice band to see live.
We and Mihoen! Finished the night with our fastcore/power violence.
A pity that not many people did show up, but we had a great time with the people who did show up.
After the concert we went to the freedom squat in Wroclaw to take some rest.

Fri 11-05 G16, Leipzig (DE)

We arrived in Leipzig on time.
The festival was named Krachfest. A lot of touring bands would meet today.
Rabies/Depresy Mouse/Attack of the Mad Axeman/Mihoen!/Jesus Crost/Costa Cosanostra.
All these bands are playing tonight.
The diner was delicious.
Attack of the Mad Axeman impressed me the most. Killer grind with ex-Stack members.
We also played some table soccer against locals. Winner stays, so Peppy and 13 stayed the most of the time.
The squat is very nice to play. A big podium with PA.
Most of the places we played during our tour was with PA and that's the way we like it.
Again a great night, but looking forward to go home.

Sa 12-05 AZ Mulhiem, Mulheim (DE)

It's was a long time ago since we played in AZ Mulheim. June 1999.
It was a bit weird to play there again.
The location got 'pimmed' and the stage was different.
Filthy Injection opened the night. Nice Punkrock like GBH, Varukers and a bit NOFX.
We did our last show of the tour. Fast, but not one of our best shows.
Too tired of traveling almost 6000 km in a van.
Mihoen! Did a killer show. One of the best shows of the tour.
After talking with Roland and Corinna we went home.
The tour was great and will be in our memories for a long time.
We will be back in Mulheim next Januari at the 3 day festival.
Next year we will tour again with the guys from Mihoen!, but this time in other countries.
Germany/Austria/Croatia/Slovenia/Italy and France will be next.
We will keep you updated.

Bye,
